Is there a way to normalize all audio say on pulseaudio level?
I'm so fed up with different sound sources being at different volume.
Often this results in the painful "AAAAAHHH too damn loud!!" experience.
But even having to adjust the volume between youtube videos and regular
video watching is annoying.
So at least I want to set a comfortable overall maximum volume that will
not penetrate my eardrums. Ideally I want something like an exponential
floating average on top of that, that adjust the output volume of every
source after a while to fit my comfortable volume.
I do realize that normalisation tools on a file basis exist for video and
mp3. I have jet to see an on the fly over all system wide solution. Does
anyone have an idea?
